Dental Hygiene

It is essential that patients wearing braces brush their teeth properly to avoid looking like a salad drawer!

Ideally, brushing should be done 3 times a day for 2 to 3 minutes. Choose a brush with a small head and flexible synthetic strands that allow easy access to every surface, and replace it every three months.

Strict hygiene is the key to a successful orthodontic treatment, as it prevents cavities from forming around braces and gums from becoming inflamed.

Remember: visit your dentist every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment.
